Pitta
According to Ayurveda, Pitta is the body's heat production unit. It not only produces heat but also regulates it. Every cell in the body needs heat for smooth functioning. Pitta's functions are compared to the functions of fire. It is this heat of pitta that makes the stomach digest food. Pitta is also located in cells through tissue and elemental fires, helping transform food into nutrition, metabolism, and heat.
When Pitta is balanced, it brings clarity, sharpness, and healthy digestion. However, when it becomes imbalanced, it can lead to excess heat, inflammation, acidity, digestive discomfort, and skin issues.
Ayurveda, an ancient system of natural healing, takes a natural approach to restoring the body to equilibrium. It focuses on treating symptoms and addressing the root causes of imbalance.
Kerala Ayurveda Limited (KAL) enshrines this purest and unbroken Ayurvedic tradition that goes back well beyond 5000 years. It is one of the oldest (founded more than 80 years ago) Ayurveda companies in the world, and the only full spectrum-listed Ayurveda company spanning academics, products, research, clinics, hospitals, resorts, and wellness services.
